# Maneja: store rules and labour law on every schedule

> What Maneja checks on every schedule: rest, breaks, daily and weekly limits, store rules and coverage. It warns, it never blocks.

Rules and labour law

Warns when a schedule goes against labour law.

Each schedule is checked against the general regime of Portugal’s Código do Trabalho or Spain’s Estatuto de los Trabajadores. Every warning names the person, the day and the article; the decision stays with you.

What Maneja checks

At least 11 hours of rest between two working days (12 hours in Spain)

One rest day a week (a day and a half in Spain)

Breaks so nobody works more than 5 hours in a row (in Spain, 15 minutes after 6 hours)

Never more than 12 hours in a day or 60 in a week (Portugal)

And also

Overlapping shifts for the same person

They cannot be saved.

Contract hours and absences

Checked in every AI proposal.

Opening hours with nobody in the store

Including during breaks.

Warning

Marta Reis, Friday to Saturday: 10 hours of rest between shifts. The minimum is 11.

Código do Trabalho, art. 214.º

Warns, never blocks: you can still publish.

Sample warning

Maneja checks the general regime of the law. A collective agreement, a flexible-hours scheme or an hour bank may allow something else, and Maneja says so next to the warnings. It is not a legal certification and does not replace recording working time.

Official sources

Portugal

Código do Trabalho, in the Diário da República.

Spain

Estatuto de los Trabajadores, in the BOE.

Read the legislation

Store rules and labour law, checked on every schedule.

Maneja compares each proposal with the opening hours, the contracts, the absences, the rules you write for each store and the general regime of labour law in Portugal and Spain. It always warns; it never blocks.

Each store's rules, written the way you say them.

You write the rules in plain words. The active ones go to the AI in every conversation, and you switch one off without deleting it when it stops making sense.

A request made in the chat can be saved as a store rule.

Each store has its own rules: what applies in Chiado does not spread to the other stores.

How many people are in the store, every half hour.

Coverage shows the week hour by hour, with breaks deducted. Opening hours with nobody in show up before you publish.

With work areas (floor, bar, kitchen…), each area has its own minimums per time band. It is an option enabled per company.

It warns, it never blocks.

The decision always belongs to whoever runs the store. Maneja shows what it found, who it concerns and why.

On every proposal

The check runs on every week and every month the AI proposes, and on the week you are editing.

Your request wins

If you ask for something that goes against the general regime, the AI does what you asked and leaves a warning with the person, the day and the article.

Unusual settings

Breaks switched off or shorter than the general regime are flagged, and the AI asks once before carrying on.

Labour law: 1 warning this week

Ask the AI to fix it
